KCS staff share their artistic flare and teach the principles of animation to children using tablet technology. We're currently looking for individuals with an animation background and teaching experience. 

AFTER SCHOOL ANIMATORS INSTRUCTOR

JOB OVERVIEW
The Kids Creative Studio After School Animator program offers students a curriculum that teaches the history and fundamentals of animation. An instructor will need to be able to engage with students in grades 3-8 in a project based learning environment. Our instructors must have plenty of energy and patience and a strong desire to work with children. Interested? Keep reading!


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach key animation concepts in the following settings: hands-on, direct instruction, group work and one-on-one with students.
  
• Utilize Kids Creative Studio curriculum to ensure an organized and rewarding experience for students.
  
• Partner with assistant instructors who will assist during class time.
  
• Weekly emails to parents/guardians keeping them abreast of class progress.
  
• Organize an end of course Film Premiere to showcase student projects. 
  
• Weekly meetings with KCS management team. 
  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• BA or BS degree
  
• Expertise in 3D modeling, animation, and other time based and 2D applications.
  
• Demonstrated experience in the topics/courses for which you are applying to teach.
  
• Classroom experience elementary age students (grades 3-8) preferred.
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with both parents and students.
