2014 Classes and Camps
Kids Creative Studio is offering classes and camps at local schools throughout the Central Ohio area including the McConnell Art Center, Dublin Parks and Recreation, and Upper Arlington Parks and Recreation. We are proud to partner with Central Ohio's premiere community organizations to teach our children about the wonderful world of architecture and inspire their imaginations through animation and fashion design.
Autumn 2014
Evening Street Elementary
After School Animators Does your child want to create their own computer generated cartoons? This class gets them going! Students will familiarize themselves with the history and principles of animation and quickly get started using their iPad's to develop computer animations. We will cover fundamentals for stop motion, 3D modeling, story-board as well as character design. Grades 3-6 Tuesday's 3:00 - 4:00 October 7th - December 9th Requirements: iPad2 and additional apps |

Minecraft Design & Modeling Class In this class, students work within the Minecraft environment to learn fundamental architectural concepts and design. Students will be exposed to specific history and designs based on Modernism visionaries such as Michael Graves, Charles Gwathemy and Richard Meier. Students should bring their passion for art and design as well as their love of Minecraft to the class and be ready for a fun and educational experience.Grades 3-6 Grades: 2 - 6 Mondays: 2:30 - 3:30 October 13th - November 24th Requirements: iPad2 and Minecraft PE |

Minecraft Design & Modeling Class This class explores the potential for tackling art and design challenges within the game of Minecraft. Similar to building with Legos, students will work individually and in groups to design both 2D and 3D projects outside of the game and implement those designs inside the game. In this class, students will be exposed to specific history and designs based on Modernism visionaries such as Michael Graves, Charles Gwathemy and Richard Meier. We will also focus on the iterative process, animation design and layout as well as the value and challenges of working in a collaborative environment. Students should bring their passion for art and design as well as their love of Minecraft to the class and be ready for a fun and educational experience. Camp attendees work in small groups to develop a story, script, and shoot their very own movie using iPads, and learn the fundamentals of filmmaking and live action production. Kids also have the ability to upload their movies to the Web. 321124 - Digital Animation Camp During this digital camp, participants are exposed to the basic principles of animation through fun, daily animation exercises produced on their iPads. Participants add to their set of skills each day and end the week with a short animated film. Skills discussed include: storyboarding; the basic principles of animation; the importance and value of collaborative work environments; traditional drawing skills; and 3D modeling.
